October's Calling Time to Decorate
Happy October!
Growing up one of the first things we'd do is pull out the Halloween die-cuts and stick them all over the windows. With tape! I don't do that anymore but I do use window clings and I do hang Halloween die-cuts around. The Beistle Company still makes wonderful Halloween Party decorations. The book pictured above is a wonderful resource for you Vintage Halloween Collectors. The imagery from that era is breathtaking. Check Amazon to find a copy of Timeless Halloween Collectibles 1920-1949 by Claire M. Lavin. I have this book and it's really wonderful.
I'm on the hunt for the die-cuts pictured above: Witch with Spooky Tree, Ghosts, and Halloween Jol Tree. Wish me luck I hope to find them this year. Wishing you all a very Happy October & Happy Decorating!

Happy October, Becca!!!
I have that book too, and you're right. .it is a gem! I have some vintage Beistle die-cuts, but not those! I wish you lots of good fortune in finding them!
Halloween Hugs!!!
P.S. Did you get my e-mail about the pumpkin stems?
My family and I used to hang die cuts on the windows with tape too! Unfortunately the windows had a bad tendency to get condensation on the inside and a lot of them were ruined. :( I'd love to find some now though and hang them inside, without the tape, hehe.
Happy October to you!
Yes Suzie just emailed you back! :)
Hi D. it's hard to find them they used to be at every drug store. I think I'll have to search the big Halloween outlets to find what I'm looking for.
The ones that didn't get ruined I treasure. Don't forget about ebay you can rebuy your whole childhood on there for a price! :)
Glad you minded me, I need the window stickers. I moved into an apartment this year and I feel sorry for my neighborhood where kids took vans to come to my house. I want to let the apartment complex know that I seriously do Halloween, so I need to put up a little display to show them how I do the season :-) (evil laugh)
Autumn Decorate and they will come! I know that whatever you do this year will be full of Spooky Goodness! :)
And a very Merry Month of October to you too Becca! That Halloween Tree piece is fabulous...as my blog name implies, I am smitten with Halloween Trees of all kinds...ha! I hope you find some of these goodies. And if you do...please share them here! :o)
Happy October!!! :0)
Happy october Becca! I especially love the tree on the last picture. Trees can be terrifying.
Just did some decorating today, actually. These links are cool. I am always looking for fun Halloween decor to put in our windows. Thanks! Theresa
