Apple Cider and Donuts
An Autumnal favorite where I live! Our Orchard does sell in the summer too. They also add seasonal fruits such as blueberry to their donuts. I love that!
Apple Cider is a traditional Autumn drink which is mostly served Halloween, Thanksgiving and even into Christmas. It can be served spiced, heated, mulled and hard. In most parts of the world Cider refers to a fermented alcoholic drink. Refered to here in the US as hard Cider. The kind I get here locally is unpasteurized and is made from a blend of apples. Yummy alone or you could add Cinnamon, orange peel, nutmeg, cloves or mulling spices.
I've added my folksy take on Cider and Donuts if you'd like see more of them I've listed them here. Now I'm off to dream of fall and make more pumpkins and a cat or two.

Becca - I saw this on flickr and just think they are beyond charming. :) I am very ready for fall! xo
Oh man, you have me so in the mood! I went into the import shop yesterday and they had tons of displays of mulling spices, pumpkin brittle, caramel corn. I was so giddy! I ended up getting a six-pack of pumpkin ale. Yum! (now if someone would tell the weather we're done with summer)
This is adorable! :) I love apple cider donuts - we get them every fall. We also purchase unpasteurized cider - as my hubby insists it tastes much better. Theresa
Your donut made me laugh! His expression is priceless. Oh and hot apple cider is so yummy in the cooler weather.

I love cider, especially for autumn. Apple is the fruit of the season really.
Adorable, as always! I gave you an award!
