Black Cats

I'm busy doing sets of my favorite Halloween characters. Black cats love them and not just for Halloween! I'm a cat person and once had 7 of them. How did the Black Cat become associated with Halloween? According to folklore every Witch had one or could shape shift into one. Black cats crossing your path is supposed to bring bad luck. Here where I live I know that some older farm houses used to bury a black cat under the front porch for good luck. For me they have always brought good luck and we still have them showing up at our door.

Hi Becca - I love these. And I have two black cats. I keep adopting them because the animal shelter people say they have the hardest time getting adopted (because people are so superstitious). I've had a black cat since I was a teenager, and I think I have always had pretty good luck in life. ;) xox Pam

Thanks Pam! :) xo My girlfriend runs a no kill shelter and they do have a hard time with the black ones. That's fantastic that your adopting them! My first cat was a tuxedo black and white male. I had to beg for him. The best friend you could ask for. :)

I have a black cat that I rescued from a pet shop 12 years ago. They couldn't find a home for him so I snapped him right up. He's laying on my feet right now.

Those are outstanding! Wow! Love those grins! I love black cats myself too--allergic, but they are my fav's and I always take them passing my path as a good sign. Of course, I love Friday the 13th too--usually a lucky day for me...

Becca they are awesome, okay they are my favorites so far! They have great expressions and have such a vintage look to them.

I am a cat person too always have been. Love them no matter what color they are. My last cat was awesome and well she was born on Halloween, whooo hooo, got to love that but she was pure white with one blue eye and one green eye and totally deaf. Ummmm, a bit odd for sure being born on Halloween, lol.

Have a great weekend Becca

Thanks everyone you all made my day! And I'm going crazy with these kids in the house. If I let them outside they blow away. Humm there's a thought. :) You know I'm not sure where these guys will end up. I haven't decided yet I'll keep you posted.:)
