HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wishing everyone a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Today I will clean and open the windows up to let out the old year. I also sage the house burning a smudge stick just in case the last year decides to linger. I also am going to write in chalk above all the doors leading out. 20+B+C+M+10 this is an old family recipe for luck. The numbers stand for 2010 and the letters are the three kings initials. Can you tell I'm so ready to let 2009 go!

Wishing all of you a very Happy and safe New Years Eve! Thank you all for being a part of my life this year! You all mean the world to me and have brightened and enlightened this past year!

Oh my God I love the picture below.

Okay I need to burn 10,000 sage sticks to get the reek of last year out of my nostrils.

LOVE that photo...it is the epitomy of Winter to me. Cold, stark, desolate, quite, solemn....

Winter is not my favorite season at all. In fact, this is the time I usually get the seasonal blues. And like you, I am SO READY to wave goodbye to 2009! I love your ideas for ensuring a new year. I think I will burn sage today as well.

Happy 2010...here's looking forward to a better New Year, filled with positive vibes and light! :o)

Happy New Year! Love the photo :)

I have vague memories of my grandmother doing something similar with the chalk above the door. For her, I believe it was an old Polish custom. It just might work. :)

I did my smudging around noon-ish yesterday (around the time of the full Blue Moon - according to the calendar.) The place feel lighter already!

Blessings to you this year!
