Coulrophobia

Do you have it Fear of Clowns?
Well, I have to admit Pennywise the Clown from Stephen Kings It got to me a little. The other clown was the one in Poltergeist which turned it's head around that was creepy.
I used to watch Bozo as a child he didn't scare me.
Here's my nod the the Creepy Clown world. I think his name is Corky. My boys don't like him so I guess my attempt worked.
If you'd like to venture further into the Creep World of Clowns you can check out this treasury I made at Etsy. Warning though it contains Creepy Clowns!

Hahaha, I have no fear of clowns, but my 32 year old daughter does...she's petrified!! Also, add monkeys to the mix!! Quite frankly, I don't know where she developed that fear since I don't ever recall using either to scare her.

The clowns you mentioned are very scary but your little guy is adorable, but then, I'm not afraid of clowns, so he would be!! LOL

With the exception of Fizbo (Modern Family), I would have to say yes, clowns creep me out.

Gad! There's even a name for it! I've always been afraid of clowns. .I've always looked directly in clowns eyes, and rarely felt comfortable with what I see.

I think that I'd rather have a conversation with a skeleton, than a clown. They have nothing to hide behind!

My Mom always told me that I was silly, that "everyone" loves clowns, but now I know that I'm in lots of good company! lol

Becca - he is a little creepy, but he still makes me smile! And the Clown from IT wins, hands down for me. Scary, scary. :) xox Pam

I never cared for clowns, but I don't know if that is a fear.

Boy I am late in the blog posts here! I read IT but was never that scared of Pennywise. That said, I do have fear of clowns. And there are very good reasons for it: they don't act rationally, they are physically deformed, they spend time playing cruel pranks to each others (and/or their audiences), their humour is often based on violence and cruelty, etc. Clowns are simply not funny.

What's funny to me, is how modern gangs are using scary clown drawings to promote themselves, but the Ringling/Barnum clowns from the '30s and '40s are a hundred times more scary.
