Awaiting Autumn not Apples

Yesterday my family and I went to the Apple Orchard. I love this time of year the mornings are chilly and you can smell fall is approaching. They have such a wonderful variety all things Autumn : apples, cider, donuts, pumpkin bread, pies, jams, jellies, harvest wines. I could go on and on. I'm also amazed that the haunted corn maze is already open! Can't wait to take my oldest this year! Last year it was a pirate theme. If you flew over in a plane the maze was a giant jolly roger skeleton! I need a friend with a plane I would have loved to snap some photos of that!
We did manage to go to the lake too. Burrr the water was cold! Kids didn't mind though. Have a magical week everyone! Kids back to school me back to painting!

Lucky weather! We're down to 104 today and the water in the pool is 88. ICK! I dream of apples and fall festivals. When we have them here, they're so hot that they're miserable. I try to wait until almost Halloween and go at night so it at least kind of feels like fall. Box it up and send it to me...I'd like a little autumn about now.

Apples are a sure sign of Autumn! Yum!
And a corn maze - how fun!

I am desperately waiting for autumn. It is sooo hot where we are. Autumn, when it gets crisp and cool, is my very favorite time of the year.

This sounds wonderful...we love to head north just to go to the Apple Orchards. Love me some cold apple cider and fresh apples dipped in caramel! :o)
