ODDS N Ends Fellow

Hi friends I just wanted to share my Odd Fellow with you. This one I felt had male energy so he's an Odd Fellow. Many people have said hum... what were you thinking when you created such a thing. Well I was thinking I wanted to throw out all the rules in my head when it comes to my creating process. I wanted to make so larger scale primitive and funky odd art dolls. Something I haven't seen before. As you can imagine we as a couple being both artists have a love an appreciation for all mediums of art from fine to folk. Me well I sway more towards the obsured and unconventional yet whimsical.
This Odds N Ends Fellow is made with paper mache, found parts just like the other one. I have decided to finish them with a matte finish. I plan on making more of them in different sizes. This fellow is a large 14 inches with his paint brush hair.
Wishing you all a wonderful and unconventional day!

Progress of Odds N End Gal

Well hello peeps! I managed to prim up one of my Odds N Ends Gals. She still needs a seal coat but I am not sure which kind matte or gloss. Sorry about the pic quality I am using my phone to post. Once again pesky blogger is up to no good! I hope everyone has dug out by now. We have icy roads and wind yikes!

Newbies with upcycled parts.

Hi friends! I have been wanting to make some prim art dolls so here's a few gals I'm working on. I used upcycled plastic dish soup bottles for the body. I used both paper mache and paperclay. Their eyes are vintage buttons. I had some broken paint brushes I used for quirky hair. As for color I wanted fun colors but I will be primming up these gals with stain. Wishes to you all for a creative week!
