The Twisted Tree

This is the back cover shot for my book Enchanted October. I just received my first copies today and I'm so pleased with how the book turned out. You can view a preview and order at blurb.com. I hope to start my next book soon when the snow starts to fly.

Great, Great Auntie Mae

This was a fun project I did for Halloween. I thought I'd pay tribute to Auntie Mae and it's the perfect time of the year for that. She would not mind being an Autumn Witch.
Several women in my family were and are folk healers and have used a combination of saints and herbs for spells and folk magic.

Tiny Frog

I had to stop raking leaves the other day there were too many tiny frogs everywhere. This little
fellow blends in perfectly with the oak and hickory leaves. He is resting his head on a hickory
nut shell. The nuts don't last long around here too many squirrels and chipmunks.

What's blooming

This toad lily which looks a lot like an orchid was not affected by the frost we got.

Day of the Dead

Happy Day of the Dead !

Harvest Moon and Maple Tree

The Harvest Moon holds the magic of my favorite season.

Pie Pumpkins

These pie pumpkins have wonderful twisted stems.
I find the color and texture they have enchanting.

Devils of the forest

I found these Devils lurking in the woods outside our home. For all of you who grew up in the
1970's these retro masks can bring back wonderful memories. You will find similar photos
in my new book.
